Book One of the Eddie Roark Series
Eddie just wants to go home. With eighteen days and one last mission standing between him and freedom, everything was supposed to be routine—until it wasn’t. Now, alone, injured, and left for dead in the perilous mountains of Afghanistan, the hunter becomes the hunted, and time is running out.
In this gripping drama, meet a soldier adrift—lost long before he was shot down—a chess-playing goat-herder who becomes his unlikely guardian, and the enigmatic, dark-eyed woman who saves his life. A woman he’s never met, yet somehow knows. A woman from his dreams. She might just change his mind about escaping the godforsaken mountain he’s trapped on.
Can the tranquil heart of a missionary heal the turbulent soul of a rogue soldier desperate to fight his way out? Or will his heart stay bound to the Afghan mountains with hers, forever?

4.0 out of 5 stars Loved this military thriller!
Reviewed in the United States on March 30, 2020Format: Kindle EditionWow, move over Jack reacher because Eddie Roark is in the house! A great read about a Green Beret in Afghanistan who is shot down, lands in a tree with a tree branch sticking through his leg, is rescued, nursed back to health by a missionary, and then returns to his original mission. Great research, great suspense, scary moments and a little romance - what else could you want?HelpfulComment
